How to use Hilltop Maggie[]
Hilltop Maggie's (called Haggie or HT Maggie) leader trait gives her a chance of regaining an action point when attacking any kind of enemy except regular walkers. The chance is boosted by lucky.
In the current meta, however, shooters are seriously underpowered compared to other classes due to their low amount of targets, so Haggie is not used very much. She will, however, be one of the most useful shooters as a PvP attacker, in GW or Outpost.
In this role you should badge her defensively, with 3 health badges and 3 damage resistance badges. For traits you should reroll Sure Shot, Defensive Stance and Ruthless to Critical Aim, Lucky and Bullet Dodge. She can keep Revenge. Note that Keeping the Pace can activate even if the target dodges the attack. In this way this works differently from GCarol's LT, where a dodged shot can not be followed up by a second shot.
Unfortunately Haggie is not well suited to be a PvP defender. The AI does not understand to use her Leader Trait, so as a defender her LT is wasted.
Bugs with Haggie's LT[]
If you do charge attack as your first attack Keeping the Pace can not activate. That is, if you are fully charged:
- If you make a normal attack first, and Keeping the Pace activates, you can then do a charge attack and the extra attack finally (getting 3 attacks in a turn)
- If you make the charge attack first, Keeping the Pace will never activate, giving you only the normal 2 attacks
