Survivors are the main factor of the game. Survivors (Heroes & Non Heroes) are the characters used to carry out missions in the challenge. You can collect survivors as quest rewards by opening special crates or through Radio Calls.
There are currently 6 survivor classes, each with different mechanics. Each survivor can have up to 5 Survivor Traits with Heroes having 1 unique Leader Trait (LT).
Melee class : Bruiser, Scout & Warrior
Range class : Assault, Hunter & Shooter
Recommended Traits for Range : Ruthless (Trait) for extra charge damage, Marksman (Trait) for extra damage, Sure Shot (Trait) for extra Crit Chance before moving and Critical Aim (Trait) for stun chance. Crippling (Trait) becomes more useful when you cannot one shot enemies.
As of 27 October 2025, there are 51 Heroes.

Equipment[]
On Radio Calls[]
Assaults[]

Assaults are long-distance survivors, and use Assault Rifles and Grenade Launchers as weapons.
An Assault attacks in a 60 degree arc, being able to attack targets within that arc and up to 4 meters away (there are weapons and traits that can change this). However, compared to other classes, the damage done is quite low. On the other hand, the life of an Assault is quite high.
The movement of an Assault is the default, being able to move up to 6 meters in one turn.
The Assault charged attack, stun attack, manages to deal guaranteed critical damage to all targets in his attack, stunning them all (If they are not Stun Resistant).
Bruisers[]

Bruisers are melee survivors, and use 2-handed weapons such as clubs, batons, and axes.
This class is best known for being able to stun targets (if they aren't stun resistant) on their normal attack (if the attack results in a body shot, it won't stun the target), despite dealing low damage. They have high health by comparison.
A bruiser's movement is the standard, having to move up to 6 meters in one turn. The bruiser's normal attack usually only attacks 1 target, however it is possible to hit more targets by using charged attacks and/or using special weapons.
The bruiser's charged attack, Smash, allows you to strike a circle around your primary target, dealing critical damage and stunning everyone in the circle (if they aren't Stun Resistant).
Hunters[]

Hunters are long-range survivors, and use sniper rifles, shotguns, bazookas, Harpoons and Crossbows.
Known for being one of the most versatile classes in the game, the hunter can hit multiple targets with medium damage. Generally, the Hunter's range is a straight line of up to 7 meters, however it is possible to change it by obtaining special weapons. They have a low life, however.
A hunter's movement is the default, being able to move up to 6 meters in one turn.
The hunter's charged attack, Critical Attack, can deal guaranteed critical damage to targets within the hunter's range.
Scouts[]

A scout is a melee class that uses knives, switchblades, or spears as weapons.
This class is the class that has the ability to have the most damage in the game. On the other hand, she has low health.
A scout has greater movement speed than other classes (except shooters), and can move up to 8 squares in one turn.
The scout's attack, however, can only hit 1 enemy per turn, but there are special weapons that allow you to hit more enemies in a turn.
The scout's Charged Skill is usually Brain Stab, which grants a Critical hit to the Target, with an additional 50% damage.
Shooters[]

Shooters are long-range survivors, and use pistols, bows, and pistol-type crossbows.
The shooter, like a scout, has very high damage. However, the health of Shooters is quite low.
Shooters have a high movement speed, being able to move up to 8 meters in one turn. A shooter can only shoot 1 target within 4 meters per turn, but there are weapons that can affect more than one target.
The shooter's charged attack, Extra Attack, allows the shooter to perform an extra critical attack on a target.
Warriors[]

Warriors are melee survivors, and use two-handed swords as weapons.
Warriors attack in an arc of 135 degrees, being able to attack up to 3 enemies in an arc, but there are weapons that allow you to hit more targets. Both the damage and health of a warrior are average.
Warrior movement is the default, and can move up to 6 meters per turn.
The warrior's charged attack, bonus attack, allows the warrior to do an extra attack with guaranteed critical hits.

Survivors (Non Hero) Upgrading Guide[]
Resource wise, only upgrade Regular Survivors (Non Hero) starting with 3+ stars, ideally 4 stars from a Radio Calls. For Radio Calls costing 10+ radios, if a Survivor (non Hero) is drawn, there is a 16% for 4 stars and 1.7% for 5 stars.

Class Tokens[]
Class Tokens are used to upgrade your Regular (Non Hero) Survivors and their Traits, just like how Hero Tokens are used.
Survivor Slots[]
If you have enough Survivor Slots, you may keep some Regular Survivors for disposal in harder missions. Basically let the Regular Survivor dies, then after completing or "fleeing" the Mission, retire her so that she doesn't clog up your Hospital spot.
| Stars | Tokens |
|---|---|
| 1 | 2 |
| 2 | 10 |
| 3 | 32 |
| 4 | 128 |
| 5 | ? |
*Note: You start with 5 Survivor Slots and Heroes does not take up Survivor Slots.
| Slots | Gold Cost |
|---|---|
| 5 -> 6 | 15? |
| 6 -> 7 | 20? |
| 7 -> 8 | 25? |
| 8 -> 9 | 50? |
| 9 -> 10 | 100? |
| 10 -> 11 | 150 |
| 11 -> 12 | 200 |
When retiring a Non Hero Survivor, you will get its class Tokens (and if you have upgraded that Survivor, some XP back).
